Tiger takes away crab hunter

A crab hunter was taken away by a tiger from a canal at Dobanki area of Sundarbans here today, forest officials said.

The victim, identified as 45-year-old Prati Bar, and four others were capturing crabs when a tiger pounced on him and took him away.

The remaining team members informed the forest department that conducted a search in the area but Bar's body was not found, the officials said.
