Tin drops in dull trade

Tin prices dropped in an otherwise dull non-ferrous metal market here today on stockist selling amidst lower demand from alloy industries.

Tin fell by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,580 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 1,585.

Aluminium alloy declined by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 151 from Rs 153 and Copper sheet cutting softened by a Re per kg to Rs 473.

However, copper scrap heavy inched-up by a Re per kg to Rs 491.
