Press Trust of India Mumbai
Tin prices fell in an otherwise lacklustre non-ferrous metal market here today on consistent stockist selling amidst poor demand from alloy industries.

Elsewhere, select copper and lead also edged down on lower offtake from consumer industries.

The industrial metals rebounded at the LME on bargain hunting ahead of seasonal second-quarter strength, though concerns over China's latest property curbs and US spending cuts capped the gains.

Tin dropped by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,410 from Saturday's closing level of Rs 1,415.

Copper cable scrap, copper utensils scrap, copper wire bar, copper sheet cutting and lead all softened by a rupee per kg to Rs 492, Rs 451, Rs 520, Rs 468 and Rs 135, respectively.

However, brass sheet cutting and aluminium ingots inched-up by a rupee per kg each to Rs 336 and Rs 141.
