Tin slips on lower demand

Tin prices slipped in an otherwise listless non-ferrous metal market here today due to stockists selling amidst lower demand from alloy industries.
Globally, the industrial metal copper was steady above a four-week low in early trade as renewed concerns over weak demand growth from top consumer China darkened the metal's outlook against a backdrop of ample supply.
Tin fell by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,155 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 1,160.
Elsewhere, copper cable scrap and copper wire bar edged up by a Re per kg each to Rs 413 and Rs 441 respectively.
