Accusing the TMC government of giving rise to "anti-national and fundamentalist forces" by pursuing politics of appeasement, RSS today said it would launch a campaign if the state government failed to take action against such elements.
"The rise of communal and fundamentalist forces is a matter of grave concern. If the state government does not take any action we will launch a massive campaign throughout the state," a senior RSS functionary in the state told reporters.
"The state government has turned a blind eye to the entire situation just for the sake of vote bank," senior RSS leader Jishnu Basu said.
He accused the ruling TMC of remaining a "mute spectator" when attacks were carried out against the majority community after the Puja.
