The Thane Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sanjeev Jaiswal today proposed to make a hearing test mandatory on infants born at all government as well as private hospitals in the city.
"The Thane Municipal Corporation will make it mandatory for all private and government hospitals in the city to carry out screening as well as hearing test on infants to avoid any complications," Jaiswal said at a function.
He said a cochlear implant centre will come up in the city.
