In the midst of political uncertainty, AIADMK Rajya Sabha MP V Maithreyan, a supporter of Chief Minister O Panneerselvam, today met Governor C Vidyasagar Rao.
Sources close to the Pannerselvam camp said the party MP called on the Governor at the Raj Bhavan here.
It was not immediately known what transpired at the meeting but it assumes significance in the wake of the intra-party power tussle in the ruling dispensation between AIADMK General Secretary V K Sasikala and Panneerselvam.
On February 5, Sasikala was elected as the party's Legislature Leader, paving the way for her becoming the Chief Minister.
However, two days later, Panneerselvam raised a banner of revolt against her, alleging he was forced to step down for her.
