TN Govt appoints Anoop Jaiswal as DGP-Elections

Tamil Nadu Government today posted Director General of Police and Police Housing Corporation Chairman and Managing Director, Anoop Jaiswal, as in-charge, of Elections with immediate effect.

"Jaiswal is transferred and posted as Director General of Police (Elections), Tamil Nadu to attend all election related works involving police", Chief Secretary Mohan Verghese Chunkath said in an official release here.

"All field police officers in Tamil Nadu handling any election related arrangements shall report to Anoop Jaiswal, DGP in-charge of Elections till the completion of the election process in Tamil Nadu" he added.
