Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker P Dhanapal today expunged certain remarks made by both Chief Minister K Palaniswami and Leader of Opposition M K Stalin on the issue of staging protests.
Taking exception to Palaniswami's remark made yesterday while speaking about an anti-liquor protest, Stalin told the chief minister on the floor of the House that staging protest was an individual liberty and even the AIADMK in the past had staged agitations.
Subsequently, he made some remarks which were immediately expunged by the Chair.
The Speaker later expunged remarks made by Palaniswami on Friday while discussing the said protest.
