Toddler drowns in bucketful of water

A toddler has died after drowning in a bucket of water while playing in courtyard while its parents were inside their house in New Model Town here, police said today.

One-and-half-year-old Anshuman accidentally fell headlong into the bucket kept outside to collect water dripping from an air conditioner, police said quoting his parents.

The father of the child noticed him and took him to local civil hospital from where he was referred to Ludhiana where he was declared brought dead Sunday night.
