A three-year-old toddler, son of a small and marginal farmer, was electrocuted today at a village in Odisha's Kendrapara district while he was playing near a motor pump.
Police said Babuni Patra died on the spot at Dhola village under Nikirai police station. A case of unnatural death has been registered in this connection.
The wire of the switch board connected to the motor pump was wet and charged. The playful baby unaware of the lurking danger came in contact with it, which later turned fatal, police added.
