Toll from Jerusalem car attack rises to 2

An Israeli man who was critically wounded in a deadly Palestinian car attack in Jerusalem died of his injuries early Friday, raising the death toll to two, the hospital said.
"The person who was critically wounded in the hit-and-run attack in Jerusalem passed away this morning," said a statement from Hadassa hospital in Ein Kerem.
A hospital spokeswoman could not confirm details of his age or identity but Israel's army radio said he was a 17-year-old student at a Jewish seminary in the city.

During Wednesday's attack, a 38-year-old Palestinian from Shuafat refugee camp in east Jerusalem deliberately rammed his car into two groups of pedestrians, killing a border police officer and wounding another nine people.
It was the second such deadly attack by a Palestinian driving a car in two weeks, and triggered a wave of rioting across flashpoint areas in the eastern annexed sector of the city.
