Tom is the perfect man for the job: Downey Jr on 'Spider-Man'

Robert Downey Jr says actor Tom Holland is "perfect" to play Spider-Man as the young star is physically quite gifted.

In an interview to News Corp Australia Network, the 52- year-old actor praises Holland, who will be seen in the role of the popular superhero in "Spider-Man: Homecoming".

"Tom is the perfect man for the job. He's enthusiastic, bright and gifted, a very physically talented guy by virtue of his dance and acrobatic background. He has just the right combination of elements required to bring a new take on the character," Downey Jr said.

Holland was introduced in the Marvel cinematic universe in "Captain America: Civil War".
 

He is the third actor to play Spider-Man after Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.

The film will release on July 7.
