Too premature to comment on TTP negotiations: US

The US today said that it is too premature to make any comment on the reports of peace talks between the Tehrik-e-Taliban (TTP) with the Pakistan government as being reported in the local media.

"It would be premature for us to comment on any potential negotiations," a State Department spokesperson said when asked about news reports appearing in Pakistani newspapers about talks between TTP and the Pakistan Government.
