NEWDELHI LGD18 New Delhi: The Supreme Court today stayed till May 7 the trial in the Kathua gangrape and murder case, after being seized with petitions seeking shifting of the trial to Chandigarh and handing over the investigation to the CBI.

JAMMU DEL5 Jammu: Police investigating the rape and murder of an eight-year-old girl in Kathua say that Sanji Ram, one of the main accused, has told them during interrogation that he learnt about the rape four days after her abduction, and decided to have her killed because his son was also involved in the sexual assault.

 

DEHRADUN DES9 Dehradun: The Uttarakhand Commission for Protection of Child Rights (UCPCR) today asked the state government to strengthen Child Welfare Committees (CWCs) in all districts by providing them necessary infrastructure and basic facilities.
