Toy train service for children in Kanpur

Toy train service has begun in the city for children, which shall enable them to take a round of the zoo.

UP CM Akhilesh Yadav has directed the state education department officials to ensure that till October 31, all children in government schools be allowed to take a ride in the train free of cost.

Zoo Director Mukesh Kumar today said that CM Akhilesh Yadav launched the train yesterday by giving it a green signal via video conference from Lucknow.

The train, which costs over Rs 12 crore, shall run everyday and the school children can take a round of the zoo, Kumar said.
