A self-styled area commander of an ultra outfit 'Trutiya Prastuti Committee-2' (TPC-2) and one of his close aides were arrested from Barkakhad village under Chainpur police station of Palamau district, a senior police officer today said.
The arrest were made when the area commander Dildar Singh, a resident of Chandu village under Chainpur police station, along with his aide Rajendra Bhuiyan were coming to meet his family members in Chandu village today, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ajay Kumar told reporters.
A country-made pistol and two live cartridges were recovered, he said.
Singh was wanted in various Maoist-related offences in Palamau and Garwah districts, Kumar added.
