Tata Power Delhi Distribution (TPDDL) has been conferred with the prestigious 'Rooftop Solar Enabler of the Year Award' in the utility category at the Indian Rooftop Solar Summit 2016.
"TPDDL was awarded for taking innovative and positive steps to promote sustainable development of solar rooftop projects in Delhi and for the initiatives taken to encourage rooftop solar projects as a utility," an official statement said.
The awards by FirstView Research and Publishing Pvt Ltd - one of the world's leading business information service providers - have been primarily introduced to acknowledge and reward the power discoms that have taken new and positive steps to promote and practice sustainable development techniques.
"The conference saw participation by key delegates and decision makers from the all the stakeholders of the rooftop solar industry including key policy makers, government officials, financial institutions, project technology and Equipment Manufacturers as well," the statement said.
