Tractor fatally runs over 2 siblings

Two siblings were fatally run over by a tractor in a locality in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district, a police officer said today.

The incident took place in Baikanthpur Haat late last night as a speeding tractor lost control and ran over a 13 year-old boy Kishan Kumar and his younger sister Piya Kumari (10), Mushahari police station in-charge Kanchan Bhaskar said.

The siblings died on the spot, he said, adding that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.

Protesting against the incident, a mob torched the tractor even as its driver managed to escape, Bhaskar said.
