A tractor driver was killed as the vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a 200-feet-deep gorge along with the entailing trolley in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, a police official said.
The tractor, driven by Roop Raj, plunged into the gorge near Sewa higher secondary school, resulting in the death of its driver, Bhadarwah's Assistant Superintendent of Police Rajinder Singh said.
The tractor was on its way from Thathri to Chiralla, he said, adding that the body of the deceased was recovered and handed over to his family for the last rites.
