A garmet trader abducted two days back was today rescued by police which arrested four persons along with ransom money, a senior police officer said here.
Senior Superintendent of Police Govind Agarwal said that garment trader Taj Mohammad was abducted from his shop at Mallawan town by six persons two days back after which a case of abduction was lodged.
He said that to crack the case, local police sought help from crime branch and surveillance cell.

The SSP said that through surveillance it was revealed that the kidnappers had demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh and ultimately the deal was fixed at Rs 20 lakh for safe release of Taj.
The abductors were nabbed by police near Ganj Jalalabad on Hardoi-Unnao border when they were planning to free Taj after collecting the ransom, he said.
Agarwal said while two abductors managed to escape with Rs 10 lakh, four identified as main accused Usman Rasool, mastermind Anwaar, Alisher and Haider Ali were arrested.
He said that Rs 10 lakh of ransom money was recovered from their possession.
