Trader shot dead, locals block traffic

A 47-year-old trader was shot dead allegedly by three motorcycle-borne unidentified gunmen in Khatoli town here today.

Infuriated over the killing, locals held protests and blocked the National Highway at Khatoli for over an hour.

Three miscreants, riding a motorcycle, fired bullets at at Sachin Aggarwal, SSP H N Singh said.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared brought dead, Singh said.

The attackers fled leaving the motorcycle, he said adding four persons had been detained for questioning.
