Traffic cop held on bribery charge

A head constable of traffic police was booked for taking a bribe after vigilance branch received a video through Whatsapp helpline.

"A video recording was received through Whatsapp of vigilance helpline No. 9910641064. This video clip reveals a head constable of traffic police in uniform with e-challan machine and registration certificate of a vehicle in his hand," said a senior police officer.

"After examing video, a case has been registered against the head constable and further investigation is on," the officer added.
