A sub-inspector attached to the City Traffic police was seriously injured after being hit by a speeding two-wheeler, while he was carrying out vehicle checks near here today, police said.
The incident happened when Sateesh Kumar tried to stop two youths riding a motorcycle without wearing helmets, police said, adding, the officer has been admitted to a private hospital.
Later, the vehicle was seized and both the youths were taken into custody, police said.
