A minor girl and her brother suspected to have been trafficked from Odisha's Sundergarh district were rescued by police personnel in Haryana, police said today.
"We have no definite information regarding her name and address. The only thing we know is that that she has been traced from Delhi and the Karnal police rescued her. Her brother has also been rescued along with her. I am sending one team tomorrow to Karnal for enquiry and to bring her back here," Sundergarh superintendent of police R Prakaash said.
Meanwhile, reports in Sundergarh said that the girl was taken from here by a middleman and then sold to a person.
