The Home Ministry today clarified that all IAS officers transferred out of the Delhi government have completed their three-year tenure and they would be replaced by officers of equivalent rank serving in other parts of the country.

"Six IAS officers have been transferred out of the Delhi government as they have already completed their three year tenure. Orders have been issued to six other officers to join the Delhi government soon as their replacements. These were routine transfers," a Home Ministry spokesperson said.

All officers belong to Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram and Union Territories (AGMUT) cadre.

The transfer orders were issued on January 10.

The spokesperson said if anyone has any genuine grievance on transfer of IAS officers, the Home Ministry was ready to consider it.

Demanding Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's intervention, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal shot off a letter to him saying his government wanted to retain them as it needed "good officers".
