An international umbrella body of the Buddhists today said it is working on to find out ways of resolving the Rohingya Muslims issue.
The New Delhi based International Buddhist Confederation (IBC) also condemned the violence in Myanmar following which a large number of Rohingya Muslims have fled to neighbouring countries.
"We shall actively participate in resolving the (Rohingya) crisis as far as we can access," IBC secretary Dhammapiya said.

Buddhism does not allow any sort of violence and intolerance, he told a press conference.
"We have written to concerned people in Myanmar to reconsider their stand and treat all human beings and establish peace and harmony in the region. We condemn violence on Rohingyas in Myanmar," Dhammapiya said.
According to the UN estimates, nearly 600,000 minority Rohingya Muslims have fled to Bangladesh to escape violence in Myanmar's Rakhine state since August 25 when the army launched a military crackdown, triggering an exodus.
Myanmar does not recognise Rohingya as an ethnic group and insists that they are Bangladeshi migrants living illegally in the country.
