Tuki: China's stapled visa policy causing hardships to people

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Nabam Tuki today said China's policy to issue stapled visas was causing hardships to his state's people and expressed hope that the new government at the Centre would be able to solve all outstanding border issues with the neighbouring country.

On the sidelines of a function here, Tuki said China's interference in any matter of Arunachal Pradesh was "illegal" as the matter has been solved long time ago by the Mac-Mohan line.

The Chief Minister welcomed the recent visit of China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi to India as a positive step, and said it has raised hopes of solution of all outstanding border issues with China, including the Arunachal problem.
 

On the issue of stapled visas, Tuki said that this policy of China was causing hardships to the youth, sports personnels and other professionals from the state.

The Arunachal CM was interacting with mediapersons on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Medical Institute of Shri Venkateshwara University in Amroha.
