Tur, urad and moong dal prices rise

The prices of tur dal, urad dal and moong dal move up while rest of the commodities remained unaltered in the wholesale foodgrains market here today.

Moong dal rose steeply by Rs 400 per quintal to Rs 9,400 from its closing rate of Rs 9,000.

Urad dal opened the week at Rs 8,200, an increase of Rs 200 per quintal from its last rate of Rs 8,000.

Opening the week at Rs 7,300, tur dal moved up by Rs 100 per quintal from Rs 7,200.

Gram dal, sugar, wheat, maida (90 kg) and Sooji (90 kg) ruled steady.

Following are the wholesale rates of various agri- commodities (in Rs per quintal, except where stated otherwise): Thoor Dal Rs 7,300 Urad Dal Rs 8,200 Moong Dal Rs 9,400 Gram Dal Rs 3,900 Sugar Rs 3,300 Wheat Rs 2,400 Maida (90 kg) Rs 2,400 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 2,500.
