Two 11-year old boys drown in quarry pond

: Two 11-year-old boys today met a watery grave in a pond near Avanashi in Tirupur district, where they had gone to take a bath.

The 7th standard students of a government school had gone to take bath in the abandoned pond, attached to a quarry at Peranaickenpudur this afternoon.

However, both of them drowned, police said.

The bodies were later recovered, they said.
