Two people were arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl last night, the police said here today.
Rajan Joshi and his friend Avinash Kadiya were arrested today on the basis of a complaint lodged by the victim's mother late last night at the Bhakti Nagar police station, the police said.
The incident took place last night when the 15-year-old girl on her way home along with her neighbour, was allegedly abducted by the accused at knifepoint, police inspector D B Zala said, adding that they later raped her and then abandoned her near the Kothariya Road area.
"The two have been arrested and are being interrogated," Zala said.
