Two arrested for loot

Sub Inspector, were arrested today for allegedly looting a jeweller in Nawabganj area here.

On July 24, jeweller Lal Babu Soni was intercepted by people in police uniform on pretext of checking and looted of jewellery worth Rs 60,000, police said.

On the information provided by Soni, police today arrested Manoj Dixit.

The accused told police that two sub inspectors Dharmendra Yadav and Kuldeep Kumar Tripathi were also informed in the crime, they said.

While Dharmendra has been arrested, Kuldeep and one more person were absconding, police said, adding the two accused Sub Inspectors have been suspended.
