Two persons have been sent to judicial custody after they were arrested and produced before a court for raping a 16-year-old girl at Madira village in the district, police said today.
The incident took place on Wednesday following which the accused were nabbed and produced before a local court here, said Manoj Yadav, incharge of police outpost.
The accused have been arrested on rape charge and POCSO Act has also been invoked against them for sexual offence against a minor, he said.
The judge, Ram Budh Singh, has sent the accused under judicial custody till June 16.
