Two arrested for running a betting racket

Police today arrested two persons for allegedly operating a cricket betting racket from a premises in Afzalgunj area here and seized Rs 3.84 lakh from them.

G Upadhya and Sandeep Tak, along with two other absconding accused, were allegedly accepting bets for the ongoing IPL matches, a release from the Hyderabad police said today.

Based on an information a team of the Commissioner's Task Force raided the premises yesterday and nabbed the duo, the release added.
