Two arrested for sand mining; 6 trucks seized

Police have arrested two persons accused of sand mining from Yamuna river and seized six loaded tractors on the UP-Haryana border.

Acing on a tip off, police raided the location yesterday and arrested Mustafa and Jameel and also seized six tractors loaded with sand at Kairana town in Shamli district, Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Kairana, S K Mishra told reporters here.

Police has registered a case against eight persons in this connection, including six who are absconding.
