Two arrested for stealing jackets, cloth material worth Rs 54L

Two men have been arrested for allegedly stealing jackets and cloth material worth Rs 54 lakh in northwest Delhis Swaroop Nagar, the police said today.

On October 5, Suresh Kumar Aggarwal told police that goods from his warehouse had been stolen.

He claimed that he had kept 555 bags containing 58,500 jackets and six bundles of 6,000 metres of cloth material in a godown two months ago, they said.

When he visited the warehouse, he did not find the goods and even the watchman was not present there, the police said, addding that he suspects that the guard Brahmpal (30) had stolen the goods.
 

Brahmpal was arrested yesterday from here.

He alleged that another person Rajesh Shah (32) is also involved in the case. Subsequently, he was also arrested.

The police have recovered the stolen goods from a store situated in Gandhi Nagar, Delhi.
