Two persons, including the manager of a private factory, were arrested here today in connection with a fire accident which left nine workers injured, police said.
The manager and a foreman of the fireworks factory were arrested after a fire broke out in the shed of the factory yesterday, leaving nine persons, including four women, police said.
Cases under various IPC sections, including careless handling of explosive substances and causing grievous injury, endangering life or personal safety, and provisions of Explosive Substances Act, were registered by police today.

The owner of the factory is yet to be arrested, they said.
Meanwhile, hospital officials said the condition of five of the injured, who sustained more than 80 per cent burns, was critical.
While two of the injured were admitted to a private hospital in Madurai, others had been admitted to a government hospital here.
The fire broke out at the shed yesterday due to friction while workers were sorting the sulphur mixed wicks.
