A local court today sentenced two persons to life imprisonment in a murder case.
District and Sessions Judge of Phulbani Hiranmoy Bisoi sent Mudala Sunamajhi and Tundura Patmajhi of Salkibuguda village under Kotagarh police station to life in jail on the charge of killing Naresh Badaseth, a labourer, in a dispute over firewood.
A fine of Rs 15,000 was also imposed on each of them.
The sentence was pronounced yesterday after examining 13 witnesses, the doctor's report and other circumstantial evidences, Anil Pradhan the Government pleader said.
