Two brothers were killed and another was seriously injured today when the motorcycle they were riding collided head-on with a truck on Katghora-Bilaspur road in Chhattisgarh's Korba district, police said.
The mishap occurred near Rajkamma village under Katghora police station limits. The three brothers were on their way to their native Chuhiya village, said station house officer, Katghora, Vivek Sharma.
The deceased were identified as Hemlal Yadav (21) and Thakur Yadav (25). Raghuveer (24), their brother, sustained critical injuries.
On getting information about the mishap, a police team was rushed to the spot. Raghuveer was taken to the district hospital, the SHO said.
The truck driver fled from the spot leaving the vehicle behind, the SHO added.
