Two young children were burnt to death and their mother received serious burn injuries when a fire broke out in their house at Gadoda village in Sikar district, police said today.
The deceased were identified as Rashi (aged over two years) and 10-month-old Krish, they said.
The injured woman was rushed to a government hospital in Nechwa here and later referred to the district hospital in Sikar.
The fire broke out inside the house under mysterious circumstances yesterday, they said. The three victims were inside the house, while the elders were sitting outside.
The elders rushed inside after smelling the fire and noticing smoke.
The reason for the start of the fire is yet to be ascertained, they said.
