Two criminals held with arms and ammunition

Acting on a tip off, the police arrested two criminals hiding in a maize field last evening and seized two rifles and as many pistols, besides 77 ammunition from their possession, the police said.

The arrested criminals have been identified as Amit Kumar Yadav and Niranjan Chaudhary.

Three other criminals, however, managed to escape.
