Two dead, one hurt as car falls into gorge in Shimla

Two people died and one was injured when their car fell into a deep gorge in Himachal Pradesh's Shimla district on Saturday, the police said.

Guddu Ram (32) and Sookha Nand (42) and Chand Karan of village Maghara were travelling in their Bolero SUV when the accident occurred on Rampur Gaura road in Rampur subdivision of the hill-state, they said.

While Ram and Nand died on the spot, Karan was injured and admitted to Khaneri hospital, they added.
