Two drug peddlers arrested, heroin seized

Two drug peddlers have been arrested from Muchipara area here and over 70 gm of heroin was seized from their possession, police said.

Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a raid yesterday and arrested the duo from a hide-out at B B Ganguly Street under Muchipara police station limits, a senior Kolkata Police official said.

Heroin of around 73 gm, with a market value of about Rs 70,000, was seized, he added.

The duo have been remanded to police custody till Thursday.
