Two fishermen killed

Two inland fishermen were electrocuted at Ayaba in a remote village of Kendrapara district today as they came in contact with a live wire, police said.

A live wire had snapped and fell in the pond where the fishermen had spread nets to catch fish. As the water body was charged with current, they were killed on the spot, they said.

The deceased have been identified as Gokul Sethi and Amar Pradhan, both natives of local village.
