Two girls beat up two youths when they allegedly harassed them in a bus in Kandhla town of Shamli district, police said today.

The youths identified as Kalpit Kumar (25) and Samrat (22) were yesterday beaten up by the girls and handed over to police saying the duo used to harass them on their way to college, SHO Pankaj Verma said.

Last month, two sisters from Haryana's Rohtak had hogged limelight for thrashing youths in a bus for allegedly molesting them.

In another incident, two men were booked for attempting to rape two sisters when they were alone in their house at Unn town in Shamli district, police said.

"The youths- Roopak and Mohit, entered the girls' house one month ago and tried to rape them but the victims thwarted the attempt. Later, the accused fled from the scene," they said.

A case was registered yesterday by the police on the directive of the court, they said, adding efforts are on to nab the absconding accused.
