Two girl children were charred to death after being engulfed with fire in their house possibly due to electric short-circuit in Odisha's Keonjhar district today, police said.
The two children, Lusy Munda (two) and her cousin sister Subhadra Munda (seven), were sleeping in the house in Basudevpur village under Keonjhar Sadar police station when mishap struck them with their house completelly gutted destroying all household goods.
They were rescued from the blaze in a critical condition. The younger girl died on way to the district headquarters hospital while the other victim breathed her last in the hospital, they said.
