Two govt officials get three-year RI for taking bribe

A special court sentenced two government officials here to three years rigorous rigorous imprisonment each fr taking bribe and also imposed a fine of Rs 3,000 each on them.
The sentence was awarded yesterday by Special Session Judge, K S Baria against tehsildar Mahendra Kumar Joshi and revenue inspector Mahesh Gill for taking a bribe of Rs 40,000 from Mandsaur resident, Jitendra Dhakad in connection with a case of related to recovery of a bank loan.
The duo were caught red-handed after Dhakad tipped off Lokayukta Police about it.
Later, Lokayukta sleuths submitted charge sheet against them in the special court following which they were convicted in the matter.
