Two persons were arrested and large quantity of raw material for making illicit liquor recovered from them in the Reasi today.
Based on a tip off, police teams raided two houses in the Salal Khad area and recovered over 2000 litres of Lahan (an ingredient for making country liquor), which was destroyed on the spot, SSP Reasi, Sujit Kumar said.
He said two persons Angrez Singh and Ranjeet Singh were arrested and booked under various sections of the J&K state Excise act.
Cases have been registered against them and investigations initiated, Kumar added.
