Two held for pushing woman into flesh trade

Two persons have been arrested for allegedly pushing a woman from Bangladesh into flesh trade here, police said today.

Accused Sameer Rana and Pradhaman Sahnu were apprehended last evening, PI UG Jadhav of Shil-Daighar police station told PTI today.

Three others-- Rabbi Mulla, Laxman and Rajeshkumar Srivishnudhari Yadav--involved in the sex racket are absconding, he said.

According to police, the woman was administered some medicine rendering her unconscious following which she was trafficked to Mumbai from Bangladesh and subsequently sold to a brothel in Shil-Daighar locality.

The five accused have been charged under sections 366(b), 370 and 370(a) of the IPC and also sections 3,4,5,6, and 9 of the PITA Act, police said adding investigations are on to trace their links to prostitution rackets.
