Two smugglers, including a woman, have been arrested and fake currency with a face value of Rupees Ten lakh have been seized from them in West Champaran district, a police officer said today.
Acting on a tip off, the police arrested a woman, identified as Gulenur, from a bus stand in Madhavpur village yesterday and seized the fake currency notes from her possession, Superintendent of Police Vinay Kumar said.
The police also arrested her associate Ramesh from the same Majaulia police station area, he said.

The seized fake currency notes contained 800 notes in denomination of Rs 1,000 and 400 notes in the denomination of Rs 500 respectively, Kumar said.
The woman, a native of West Bengal's Malda district and wife of one Amad Mian, had brought the haul of fake currency notes from her native place for supplying it in markets on the Indo-Nepal border, the SP said.
